You’re About to Walk Into A New Season

Whether you can sense it or not, God is doing a new thing in your life. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself being overtaken by the suddenly’ s of God. Sometimes, we can get so entrenched in the routine of our lives that it’s hard even to believe God will spin the block just to find us and overwhelm us with His goodness.

The prelude to a new season is often grounded in seasons where we feel incapable, vulnerable, beat up, tired, confused, bothered, and set back. While none of us enjoy feeling tired, beat up, and set back, the truth is our suffering is where we grow the most. But you have to be careful not to take on the negative-pessimistic mindset when you are facing difficult times. When you are going through difficult times, it’s easy to say, “Nothing good ever happens for me.” or “No matter how hard I try, I just can’t seem to catch a break.” Don’t use this difficult moment to create a difficult life. Because what you say today will be the substance that creates your reality for tomorrow.

Just like an airplane has to hit turbulence as it climbs to higher altitudes, when you encounter difficult times, let that be your sign that God is lifting you to a higher altitude. It is a sign that you are on your way to a new season.

The scripture says it like this, “Remember not the former things or consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? What God is saying is, the last time I took you out of trouble and into a new season, that was the old way. But this time, it’s about to be brand new. What I’m getting ready to do for you this season you’ve never seen it before. My friends, what I want you to notice is the question He threw in on the sly. He said, do you not perceive it? See, when God brings us into new seasons, the first thing He’s checking for is our perception. Most of the time, we are so focused on what we are going through that it is hard for our faith to be stirred up about where God is taking us to.

Although your pain is real, your pain is not permanent. It is, however, necessary for us to be saturated in the oil of our suffering so that we are prepared to produce and prosper in the new season God is bringing us into. Now, do yourself a favor and stop worrying about what used to work. Stop letting anxiety take over your mind just because you encounter difficult times. Don’t be like Stella, and keep looking for different ways to get your groove back. And don’t be like Lot’s wife and keep looking back. Allow the power of God to move you forward into a new season. Now, I declare that this is going to be a season that you’ve never seen before. A season where God will answer long-awaited prayers. It’s a season where you’ll be able to look back and understand why you had to go through what you went through. A season where you will go from lack to abundance. A season where key relationships will suddenly be restored. A season where your sickness will be healed. A season where your children will walk in their anointing, a season of sudden blessings!
