Ideas for Gold
Did you know that you are literally one idea away from changing the trajectory of your life? Did you know that you are one idea away from changing the destiny of your life your family as well as those around you? As the late Pastor Myles Munroe once said, the graveyard is one of the most richest places in the world. It is full of unborn ideas, purpose, and potential.
We typically treat our ideas as random thoughts and based on how they move our hearts we seldom even share them or put them into motion. Ideas are the seeds that launch new industries into fruition. Think about it like this. Because of somebody’s idea, over 50 people are on a phone call at the same time. Because of somebody’s idea we all have a place to go to work this morning. Because of somebody’s idea all of us have transportation to get to and from our various destinations.
As JFK once put it, “A man may die, nations may rise and fall, but an idea lives on.” But if we’re being honest about it, one of the reasons we seldom put our ideas into practice or try to execute them is because we are slightly intimidated. I mean how many times have you had an extraordinary idea one that made you smile? One that made you excited about living? The logical question to having extraordinary ideas is—how do I execute it? What’s next? How or where do I even begin? While these questions are subtle, they are one of the most powerful forces in the world in disabling our efforts for life-changing adventures before they even begin.
We have all heard the riddle as to how do you eat an entire elephant? The answer is that you eat it one piece at a time. Listen, my friends, here’s the key. Our job is not to execute the entirety of an idea when we have it. Our job is just to take one step forward. Just do one thing. The scripture says it like this. Do not despise the day of small beginnings. After seeing and having such extraordinary ideas, it can become frustrating in starting small. Because after all starting small looks nothing like the idea that you had.
When you find joy in starting small, you are leaving God room to do immeasurably, and more than you can ask or think. When you start small, you are allowing God to give you wisdom to procure a solution that will be a blessing to your community and even the world.
Secondly, when you have ideas, this is God’s way of tapping you on the shoulder to solve a problem. My friends, do not take it lightly, that you and I have been invited by God to solve problems. In 2012 Rick Holler notice a huge problem that everyone who wore glasses was having. He notices that everyone including himself was constantly loosing their glasses. This guy took a clip and a magnet and put it on his shirt to hold his glasses in place. When he did this he realized he was on to something. His heart lit up and he went to work. He eventually went onto Sharktank and the rest is history. His company now makes 5 million dollars a year in sales. More importantly, he has impacted millions of people in a positive way.
My friends, your ideas are gold. It is up to you to dig it out. Listen to people you will see problems, listen to your God given ideas a you will see solutions. Take joy in starting small and you will see your world change.
